Best performance of the real estate market since 2007
It was announced at Expo Real that, in the first six months of 2018, the global real estate markets performed their strongest since 2007. The fact that the branch is doing well is also reflected in the events at this year’s fair. The buzzing real estate market again attracted project developers, investors, consultants and planners in droves to the renowned, international trade fair.
2,095 international companies, cities and regions from 41 countries exhibited, whereas last year there were 2,003. This year Austria ranked among the top ten exhibiting countries. Almost 45,000 participants from 72 countries were represented – an increase of 6.6%. This makes Expo Real the largest B2B trade fair in Europe.

Focus on Market Development and Digitisation
This year, at the well-frequented TPA and Baker Tilly booth, the focus was predominantly on topics such as the implementation of complex real estate projects. In addition, the limelight was on current lucrative and upcoming asset categories, and also on the expected price trends on the residential and office property market. However, there was also a great deal of discussion on digital products and services.
